Migraine
Definition
It is a severe throbbing pain or pulsing pain in your head accompanied by nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light & sound. It can last for hours to days.
Causes
Causes are not clear but some genetic & environmental factors play a role. Charges in the brain stem & its interactions with the trigeminal nerve, a major pain pathway. Some triggers causes are hormonal changes in women, drink, stress, sleep changes, sexual activity, strong smell & bright light, weather changes, processed food.
Symptoms
It often begins in childhood or early adulthood
Attack
A migraine usually lasts from four to 72 hours. During migraine pain on one side of your head, but often on both sides. Pain that throbs or pulses, sensitive to light & noise, Nausea and vomiting.
Post-drome :
After migraine attack you might feel drained or confused.
