It is a common arthritis affecting millions of people worldwide. The protective cartilage that cushions the ends of your bones wear down. It commonly affects your hand, knees, hip and spinal joints.

Causes
It develops when the cartilage that cushions the ends of bones of your joints gradually detoriates. Synovial fluids between the joints becomes less. There are some risk factors which are older age, obesity, joint injury, separated stress on the joint, genetics, bone deformities & certain metabolic diseases like diabetes. Women are more affected.
