Piles or Hemorrhoids

Definition

It is a swollen vein in your anus & lower rectum. Piles can developed inside the rectum (Internal Piles) or under the skin around the Anus(External Piles).

External Hemorrhoids

• Pain & Discomfort.
• Swelling around your anus.
• Itching & irritation in your anal region.

Internal Hemorrhoids

Causes

• Straining during bowel movements.
• Constipation
• Chronic diarrhoea
• Being obese, pregnant
• Anal intercourse
• Regular heavy lifting & eating low fibre diet.

Prevention

• Eating high fibre diet.
• Drink plenty of fluids.
• Do not stress.
• Go as soon as you feel the urine or stool.
• Exercise.
